History & Fun Facts

  • For over a decade, Dana represented the United States of America in highly classified matters working with our country’s law enforcement and intelligence agencies. While living in Washington, DC for almost 17 years, Dana became an ace tour guide for families and friends. Some of her favorite sites are the FDR Memorial, Roosevelt Island, the Spy Museum, National Zoo, Rock Creek Park (especially for running), and inside the halls of the U.S. Department of Justice and its law enforcement agencies (where she had the honor of working).

  • Dana is pronounced Dan-nah, like Hannah (or banana!). Dana Lee was named after her dad, Daniel (aka Dan), and her mom Lori Lee, which is how her parents came up with her first name.

  • Dana is a lifelong runner sharing her joy of Cross Country and Track with her sons who are developing their own love for the sports and with local middle schoolers whom she coaches via a local running club. She loves mentoring and coaching runners of all abilities and experience levels about as much as she loves going for runs with her kids. While coaching, Dana is drawn to all the athletes, but especially those with  disabilities who may need extra encouragement or understanding.

  • Dana competed for Indiana University on a full scholarship. And, for those local to the northwest Chicago suburbs, she competed for Wheeling High School during their heyday as team XC state champions and track runners-up. Go Wildcats!

  • Dana Lee has two dogs and a frog.  She loves all animals.
